Men make bad patients. They defer the prostate rectal exam because they have no voiding symptoms not knowing that having no voiding symptoms means nothing in the early diagnosis of prostate cancer.

    How much percent is the possibility of developing prostate cancer of men? If there are no voiding symptoms, how can we know if the person is already carrying such problem? Thanks!

    when it comes to any cancer the key to the game is early detection. in regards to prostate cancer this is achieved by rectal exams and psa’s. for breasts it’s self exams and mamograms, for colon-colonoscopy starting at age 50 and etc. thanks for your comment…these things are a work in progress…..jm
